2005
Info: Original 2005 Mix
Safe and Sound, though this recording was made in 2004 (most of it anyway). This one was really penned by my bud Chris Holt with me knocking the ideas into a song.

By popular demand, this is Oscar himself:

Oscar
You'll note the missing left hand and unusually large nose. My 7th grade art teacher might wonder what happened to the cigar that he used to be smoking. We wonder that ourselves.

This recording includes some beautiful keyboard work by Bruce Alger.

Oscar by Chris Holt and Bob Sellon

Oscar your not half the man that we grew to love
You're smiling still but your eyes can't hide
what the years have made so rough

Oscar you didn't come around like you did back then
You turned them on then they turned you off
and I heard you broke your hand

Mechanization, new god of the nation
We've got machines now that make you obsolite (we got a machine)
Mechanization, new god of the nation
Production quotas are mounting daily while you rot in your seat

Oscar theres a place for you and you'll find it soon I know
You're trying still, no haven't died
man you made the good times so

Oscar, you didn't come around like you did back then
You turned us on and it turned me off
when I heard you broke your hand

Mechanization, new god of the nation
We've got machines now that make you obsolite (we got a machine)
Mechanization, new god of the nation
Production quotas are mounting daily while you rot in your seat
