Channel Select
<go
back to table of contents>
In order to initialized new channels (except the first one) and to edit
them, a channel must be made "active". Only one channel can be "active"
at a time.
There are actually several different methods of selecting the "active"
channel:
1. From the front panel
2. Via MIDI controller
3. Via MIDI program change
4. Via the rear
panel foot switches.
Active Channel
With each "Page" there is always one "Active Channel". The "Active Channel"
is the channel that will be operated upon by the "Function"s while using
the system. After the first loop (channel) has been initialized, you change
the "Active Channel" to initialize other loops. Once a loop has been initialized
you make a channel "Active" to work with it. Current, the only way to make
a channel active is via the footswitch or MIDI.
Edit Channel
When setting up the system before putting audio into it, you select an
"Edit Channel" to change it's parameters. Unlike "Active Channel", changing
"Edit Channels" does not cause a loop to be initialized. Note that the
"Edit Channel" is automatically set to the same channel as the "Active
Channel" when the "Active Channel" is changed.
