This is an automated set of tests used by manufacturing. Runs Switch Test, the Pot Test, the LED Test, the LCD Character Test, the LCD Block Test and the burn in test. The user must press the No button to step to the next test.
Displays each button as it is pressed or (knobs) turned.
Tests the Gain pots. Displays the value as they are turned.
Turns on each of the front panel LEDs in this order:
Displays alphanumeric characters in each display segment. The letter changes as the knob is turned.
Displays a block character that moves across the display as the knob is turned. Helps find bad pixels and other display problems.
Runs the MIDI Test and the Footpedal test over and over until a button is pressed.
Runs a series of tests over and over again while the unit is in burn in. This can be handy for checking a unit after it has been repaired in case there is any question about how stable the unit is.
Tests the range of the input to the footpedal jack.
Performs a MIDI wrap around test from the OUTPUT to the INPUT.
Performs a test of the audio DRAM memory associated with the Lexichip which is used for Delays and Reverbs.
Tests the program memory for the Lexichip.
Tests the SRAM used by the system (stored programs, etc..)
Compares the calculated checksum of the ROM/Flash chip with the value calculated when the program version was created. This is helpful for detecting back FLASH chips.
Tests the 2186's SRAM.
Tests communication between the 2186 and the Lexichip.
Tests to make sure the sample rate is correct (Bob Sellon - I think).
