The Stec Special ROM adds an internal, audible click to the system to help provide syncronization to the loop. The click occures on each beat and appears on the left output only. The rate of the click is based on the number of beats set in for the Page and the tapped size of the loop.

The click is not added to the actual audio and can be adjusted or removed at any time. The level of the click can be adjusted from the front panel as well as via a MIDI controller.
 
 

Note that the click for the first beat is slightly longer than the others to help identify beat "one" (the loop boundry). The Tempo LED also lights for a slightly longer period giving additional indication of the loop edge location.
