Could this be a frequency issue? Where the frequency of one device is conflicting with another? I know with the type broadband I have here I had to disconnect all cordless phones as when a call would come in the internet connection would drop as they ran on or near the same frequency, same for my router wireless phones cam mess with that to. I am told best thing to do is go with wireless phones the run up in 1200ghz range.

After using it some more it seemed to work fine until I received a phone call. Afterwards, I started experiencing drop outs though they seemed to go away after a short time.

I also noticed that I hear drop outs when I wake up the phone (the display turns on).

Upon reconnecting the Android to the headset it seems to be behaving (no drop outs) so this may be something that gets introduced after pausing/playing many times, answering a call or a connection/Pairing problem.

Very happy to see that the headphone is capable of working correctly with the Android. Need to figure out how it was getting into the bad state.

I just picked up a Sennheiser MM 100 Bluetooth Stereo Headset (at the Apple store). The headphones seem to work flawlessly with my iTouch but get drop outs on my Android phonen ("My Touch" by TMobile). Pause/Play, song selection and volume work on both devices and the pause-for-telephone and the telephone features worked great.

The audio drop outs are actually pauses so there seems to be a buffering problem on the Android (it picks up where it left off). The audio is perfect on the iTouch so the problem is clearly with the Android. I don't see any settings for this kind of thing but I'm going to keep looking. Perhaps in the music app.

I could endure an occasional pause but I was consistently hearing 5 or more drops per song. Torturous.

Has anyone had success playing audio on the Android with this or some other bluetooth device?
