Though I didn't know America was going to elect a convicted felon to be its next President when I scheduled this week's release, I've got a couple of really great songs this week written by the late Pete Ham of the band Badfinger that are a little bit on the money: "Take It All" and "The Name Of The Game" from their highly underrated Straight Up album which remains a favorite to this day. The live piano-and-voice version of Take It All was enough to get it done but I added an acoustic guitar track to The Name Of The Game recording and did a little hocus-pocus on the piano track to do justice to the great vocal take.
These two tracks and all of the No Muse tracks from this series were mastered and fine tuned by Tom Waltz of Waltz Mastering but Tom put a little extra love into The Name Of The Game that put it over the line. If you are familiar with either of these songs I think you"ll enjoy them immensely and if they are new to you then you should immediately go buy the Badfinger album Straight Up and thank me later.
