My old bud Stephen Martin (the circuit designer, not the comedian) lent his guitar stylings to this one back in the days when 600MB disks were the size of a large filing cabinet. Like several of the tunes on Eye Beast Variations, many of the original tracks for Safe and Sound were recorded on Lexicon's Opus system, one of the world's first disk-based recording systems. The tracks were digitally transferred to a Tascam DA38 tape machine then finally landed on a computer via a Spirit mixing board and ADAT optical.
Safe and Sound by Bob Sellon We were ready so we thought So we packed our stuff in a UHaul truck Mary was unsure at the wheel We're safe, we're sound, we're callin all you off Now there's sunshine that fills our days There are mountains and rivers wide We're safe, we're sound, we're callin all you off |
